Mike Pence's Backbone:
"I Upheld The Constitution!" "Read It!"

Mike Pence was leaving a campaign stop at an American Legion hall when he was greeted by a small but obnoxious group of pro-Trump hecklers. One of them, referring to Pence's decision to protect our Democratic Republic and serve the constitution before a President with an insane ego, asked the question, "Why didn't you uphold the Constitution?"

Mike Pence threw his voice back at him, "I did uphold the Constitution!" He turns for a half second, then turns back at the heckler and yells, "Read it!"

There is a giant misconception of who Mike Pence is outside of Indiana, where he served as governor before serving as Donald Trump's vice-President. It seems like the American perception of Pence is that of a soft-spoken, moderate voice with deeply held Christian values. While the deeply held Christian values are indeed legitimate, Mike Pence is absolutely not a soft-spoken moderate voice. In fact, he left a lot of moderate Republicans here in blue and purple areas of Indiana pulling out their hair in frustration because of how conservative he was as Governor. Mike Pence only seemed like a soft-spoken and moderate voice compared to Donald Trump because he didn't resort to name calling and was open to making deals in Congress behind the scenes in order to make the Trump agenda even remotely successful. Without needing to hold Donald Trump's hand to help him cross the street, Mike Pence is actually a pretty awesome Republican.

Truthfully, Mike Pence is probably the most trustworthy conservative Republican candidate running in 2024. I'm avoiding endorsing anyone right now, because I think Mitt Romney is right (for once) and that we absolutely need a small field and candidates who don't stand a chance need to drop out quickly in order to defeat Trump. However, I did donate $1 to the Pence campaign to help him get on the debate stage. Not just as a former Vice President, but as a former Governor and the most realistic conservative voice in the field, Mike Pence deserves a chance to prove himself and make his case to the American people.

UPDATE: Mike Pence met the 40,000 donor threshold required by the RNC to be in the first debate.
