Rand Paul Proves The Idiot Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree

Rand Paul is attacking President Obama for criticizing British Petroleum (BP) for it's failure to handle the oil spill effectively. Rand Paul says it's not the President's place to criticize the company responsible for the thousands of gallons of oil flowing into the Gulf of Mexico every day. Instead, he says simply that "sometimes accidents happen."

Yeah, I can think of another accident made by Republicans in Kentucky a few days ago.

There are 4,000 oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico, if accidents are going to "happen," we should stop all off shore drilling. This sort of "accident" is devastating virtually every industry in an entire region of the country. If accidents are going to "happen," the risks involved in offshore drilling just aren't worth it.

Now, I don't think we should stop offshore drilling. I think criticism of BP is completely legitimate because this is an industry that advertises (in America at least) that accidents can't happen.

CNN tried to get someone from the Kentucky GOP, the national GOP, all federal Republicans representing Kentucky, the CATO Institute, and even the Libertarian Party and NONE of them would come on and talk about what Rand Paul said. Rand Paul's campaign has apparently decided that their candidate isn't competent enough to talk to the press, so they wouldn't let him on either.

Like I told you before the Kentucky Primary, Rand Paul would utterly humiliate Republicans across the country and he certainly didn't take long to prove me right.
