Cassidy Hutchinson Is Probably Lying

Although I voted for him in 2020, I'm not a huge fan of Donald Trump and I do think he legitimately lost the 2020 election in spite of the precinct-level and county-level election rigging (mostly) Democrats do every election cycle.

With that said, almost all of the most terrible things Donald Trump has been accused of have turned out to be blatant lies that got on national prime time news programs with virtually no fact checking simply because it made President Donald Trump look absolutely awful. As Republicans, we know this happens to every Republican leader. Donald Trump just has a way of making himself an easy target sometimes, so it seems worse for him than it was for other Republicans like George W. Bush or Mitt Romney, who look like heros in the Trump era.

When I heard that President Trump wanted to go to the U.S. Capitol Building after his speech at the "Stop the Steal" Rally on January 6, 2020; I wasn't surprised. President Trump loves his theatrics and that would have been the next logical step for the day, keeping in mind that nobody actually entered the Capitol at this point. Likewise, I'm sure his security detail was freaking out because they couldn't check that crowd and their job is to prevent the assassination of the President of the United States; which would wreck the economy and cost billions (maybe trillions) of dollars in economic damage and investigative spending to figure out what happened. So, there's likely some truth in Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony.

However, the violent outbursts I'm extremely skeptical about. The claim that President Trump "lunged" at his secret service detail and grabbed an agent by his throat is on par with the blatant unbelievable lies in the Steele Dossier. A 74 year old man trying to choke out his own secret service agent is literally as believable as Donald Trump enjoying being peed on by a pair of Russian prostitutes. Adding to my skepticism of Cassidy Hutchinson's claims is the fact that she doesn't claim first hand knowledge of any of them. The most first hand knowledge she had was helping clean ketchup off the wall. Everything else was just word of mouth. However, the Trump Administration was plagued throughout the entire four year term by leaks with staffers whose lips were so loose, you would think they were all Russian prostitutes.

If these outrageous stories from Cassidy Hutchinson were true, they would have leaked a long time ago from other people who have since fallen out of the good graces of Donald Trump.

I don't trust Cassidy Hutchinson on "her word alone". I don't know why she would lie, but I'm sure it will become apparent in a couple years when Cassidy Hutchinson tries making huge money off an exclusive book deal.
