Kevin Tracy entered the world as a gigantic baby boy in the winter of 1984 at a hospital in Munster, IN. As one person put it to his mother, “That’s like a Buick!” Kevin spent the first three years of his life with family in the Calumet City area. After that, Kevin’s family moved to a small town called Chesterton, Indiana and the values of this community have been a fundamental part of Kevin’s upbringing. While in High School, Kevin was a member of the student government, the speech and debate team, Business Professionals of America (part of the graphic design and website design teams), chess club, art club, and the AutoCAD team. However, before he even began applying for colleges in his senior year, he watched on school televisions the horrific attacks that took place on September 11, 2001.
This immediately prompted Kevin to enlist in the United States Air Force; and, upon graduating high school, he left to serve his country. Kevin had enlisted as an Operations Intelligence Analyst and served honorably until an injury and several health problems as a result of his service caused an honorable discharge and medical separation. After considering going to school for 3D animation, Kevin instead decided to continue his service to the United States by working as a consultant to the National Counterterrorism Center. By 2008, however, it became obvious to Kevin that he could have a much greater impact if he only had a college degree. In three years, Kevin Tracy graduated with a degree from Purdue University, having earned highest distinction and an overall 4.0 GPA. While in school, Kevin earned a reputation as an inspiring public speaker and community activist. Kevin has led a forum on interfaith relations, raised money and awareness for multiple charities, volunteered to put together care packages for our troops in harm’s way, run for public office, and much more.
Since earning his undergraduate degree, Kevin has been writing books and illustrating his abstract auto-biographical graphic novel (The MSPaint Comic) while preparing for the GRE and graduate school; where he hopes to concentrate on either international relations or peace studies.
